Experienced IB, A-Level & AP Math, Physics & Chemistry tutor with 5 years’ experience supporting students across international curricula. Pursuing an MSc in Physics from Sorbonne University.

À propos

I am currently pursuing an M1 in Physics at Sorbonne University (2026–2027), following my Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from The University of Tokyo (2021–2025), where I also specialised in Physics and Mathematical Sciences.

I have been tutoring since 2022, working with students from a wide range of international educational backgrounds, including the IB, A-Levels, IGCSE, AP, SAT and ACT. Through Kokusaba Pvt. Ltd. (now GSA Academy) and private tutoring, I have taught Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History and English to students of different ages and academic levels.

My approach is centred on building a strong conceptual understanding rather than simply memorising formulas or procedures. I aim to adapt my teaching to each student's needs, whether they are looking to strengthen their fundamentals, prepare for examinations, work through challenging topics, or achieve higher grades.

Outside of tutoring and university, I have a strong interest in physics and scientific research, having worked on projects involving plasma physics, laser diagnostics, and gravitational-wave instrumentation in Japan and France. I enjoy bringing this scientific perspective into my teaching and helping students see how the concepts they learn connect to the real world.

Expérience d'enseignement

I have over 4 years of tutoring experience, working with students from a wide range of ages, abilities, and international educational backgrounds.

Since 2022, I have taught Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English through Kokusaba Pvt. Ltd. (now GSA Academy), as well as through private tutoring. My students include those following the IB, A-Levels, IGCSE, and other international curricula, as well as students preparing for the SAT and ACT.

In Mathematics, I have supported students with school coursework, homework, exam preparation, and SAT preparation. In Physics and Chemistry, I have taught students aged approximately 13–17, helping them develop both their conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills.

I have also worked with younger students in English-language classes and science activities, as well as adult learners seeking to improve their English.

Having studied in international environments in India, Japan, and France, I am comfortable working with students from different educational and cultural backgrounds. My experience has taught me to adapt my teaching style, pace and explanations to the individual student rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

Méthodes pédagogiques

My teaching approach is centred on understanding the subject from the student’s perspective. Rather than simply providing solutions, I guide students through problems and encourage them to develop the reasoning needed to arrive at the answer themselves.

I begin by identifying the student’s current level of understanding and any gaps in their foundations. From there, lessons are adapted to their individual needs, whether that means explaining a new concept, working through challenging problems, reviewing homework, or preparing for exams.

For Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, I place particular emphasis on understanding the underlying concepts and mechanisms rather than relying solely on memorisation. I use questions, examples and guided problem-solving to help students investigate ideas themselves and gradually become more independent.

I particularly enjoy working with IB, A-Level, IGCSE and other international-curriculum students. My experience teaching students from different educational backgrounds has taught me to adapt my explanations and pace to each student.

My goal is for students to leave each lesson not only knowing how to solve a particular problem, but understanding why the solution works and feeling confident enough to tackle similar problems independently. I believe those small moments of discovery and achievement are an important part of making learning both effective and enjoyable.
