À propos

Teaching has been my passion since I began this career at eighteen. Nearly 19 years later, I have not stopped, and every one of those years has shaped me into the adaptable, experienced educator I am today. I work with students across the IB Diploma Programme, IGCSE, and American curricula, specialising in English A: Language and Literature, Theory of Knowledge, and Extended Essay supervision, as well as ACT and SAT preparation. That range of experience has prepared me to understand and support students of very different needs, levels, and learning styles.

Expérience d'enseignement

Plus de 10 ans d'enseignement

As an English A: Language and Literature Teacher and EE Supervisor, I focus on developing students’ analytical precision, argumentation, and ability to engage critically with literary and non-literary texts. My teaching includes regular exam-style practice and timed assessments that familiarize students with the demands of IB examinations. Students receive frequent, targeted feedback on their responses and are taught how to refine their analysis and writing. Most of my English A students consistently achieve scores between 5 and 6, with individual students reaching the highest bands.

Méthodes pédagogiques

My lessons are structured around clear learning objectives, guided practice, and targeted feedback, with a strong focus on exam strategy, time management, and critical thinking skills. I tailor my approach to each student's curriculum and goals, whether that means building analytical writing skills for DP English, developing TOK argumentation, or refining exam technique for standardised tests.

Citation préférée
“

My favorite quote is "This too shall pass," a proverb rooted in tradition. I love it because it captures resilience and perspective: no challenge, however difficult, is permanent, and no success, however sweet, should make us complacent. It reminds me to stay grounded and patient, both in life and in guiding my students through their own ups and downs.
