International online Maths, English and Science tutor with 10+ years’ experience supporting IB, GCSE/A-Level, AP/SAT and international curriculum learners.
About
I am an international online tutor with over 10 years of teaching and mentoring experience across Mathematics, English, Science and STEM-related subjects. My academic background is in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, which gives me a strong analytical and quantitative foundation for teaching Maths, Science and problem-solving subjects clearly.
I have taught learners from primary level to secondary and pre-university level, including students following IB, British GCSE/A-Level, American/AP-style and other international curricula. My students have come from different countries, including the UK, Hong Kong, the US and other international-school backgrounds. I have supported learners with schoolwork, homework, revision, exam-style practice, confidence-building and long-term academic improvement.
My teaching experience includes Mathematics, English, Science, Biology foundations, Academic English and Coding/ICT foundations. I am especially strong at breaking difficult ideas into simple steps, identifying learning gaps, creating structured practice, and helping students move from confusion to confidence. I also use digital tools such as online whiteboards, screen sharing, stylus/tablet writing, worked examples and guided practice to make online lessons clear and engaging.
Beyond teaching, I prepare personalised lesson plans, assignments, revision tasks, progress activities and parent updates. I take tutoring seriously because families trust tutors to guide students with patience, structure and measurable progress.

Teaching methods
My teaching approach is structured, visual and student-centred. I begin by checking what the student already understands, then I identify the gaps stopping them from making progress. I teach with a digital pen, stylus/tablet, online whiteboard, screen sharing, worked examples, diagrams and guided practice so students can clearly see each step, not just hear explanations.
I use a simple but effective method: explain, model, practise, correct and review. For example, in Maths, I first break the method into small steps, model a worked example, then ask the student to try a similar question while I watch their reasoning. In English, I help students improve sentence structure, grammar, vocabulary and written expression through clear correction and guided rewriting. In Science, I use definitions, diagrams, examples and checking questions to make abstract ideas easier to understand.
