IB Psych and Biology tutor, based in London, incoming student at LSE
About
I'm an IB graduate with a score of 39 points and a strong passion for helping students succeed in the programme that has shaped much of my academic journey. Having spent years within the IB framework, doing IB PYP in Mumbai, IB MYP in London and IB DP in Oxford, I understand both its challenges and the skills needed to thrive in it. I am very interested in psychology which is what I am to pursue in university at LSE. My main area of interest is Biology, a subject I enjoy for its ability to explain the complexity of living systems and connect scientific concepts to the world around us. Through my own experience studying IB Biology, I developed effective revision strategies, exam techniques, and approaches to tackling difficult concepts that I now enjoy sharing with others.

Teaching methods
I focus on building understanding and confidence rather than memorisation alone. I tailor my sessions to each student's learning style, breaking down complex topics into manageable parts and using examples, diagrams, and active recall techniques to reinforce understanding. For example, with Biology HL, it is all about making connections across the subject and finding patterns. I aim to help students find those patterns because IB is all about critical thinking. I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique, helping students learn how to structure responses, interpret command terms, and avoid common mistakes.
