Oriane B.

I’m a qualified primary school teacher (CCEP, University of Geneva) currently based in Dubai, offering tutoring in French. My background in educational sciences has given me hands-on experience supporting children with diverse learning needs, including ADHD, ASD, and allophone (non-native speaker) students, and I enjoy adapting my teaching style to fit each child’s pace and personality.

During my teacher training, I completed 11 placements (2–5 weeks each) in French-speaking Swiss primary schools, working with students aged 4 to 12. I also completed a placement in a specialized school, working with students aged 15–20 with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilities.

Alongside my training, I carried out several short-term substitute teaching assignments in primary schools, and worked as a private tutor for two years, supporting primary-level students with ADHD, dyslexia, and language-learning needs (allophone students).

I work with primary-level students, including children with diverse learning needs such as ADHD, ASD, and allophone learners.

I begin each lesson by assessing what the student already knows, observing their existing skills before adapting my approach to reinforce what needs strengthening. I use a range of supports (visual and verbal) to help the student engage with and understand the content in the way that works best for them. I also focus on building a relationship with the student that helps them develop a sense of competence and self-confidence over time.

I am a gentle, patient, and attentive person but also challenging to push my students to grow.
