Experienced Maths Tutor (Native English) with Bachelor's degree in Maths from Oxford University
About
Hello! I am a Maths tutor who will be living in Paris from July 2026 onwards. I have experience tutoring Maths at high school and IB level (previous students were aged 14-19).
I'm originally from London, speak native English, and have a Bachelor's degree in Maths from Oxford University. I am familiar with maths entrance exams for UK universities, as well as IB and UK A-levels.
Above all, I enjoy helping students develop a genuine appreciation for maths and problem-solving by building a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. I tailor my teaching to each student and their goals, and for those aiming for top grades, I focus on helping them master challenging topics and become confident, effective problem solvers.

Teaching experience
I have taught a few students, 1-to-1, aged 14-19 to prepare for IB or A Levels.
Teaching methods
I am flexible and can adapt my teaching to fit what is best for the student's current situation and goals. However I particularly excel with those aiming for the top grades, who may be hoping to study a STEM subject at university or go on to les classes préparatoires.
General structure:
Going over homework from last session (Homework is optional, usually it is only a small task to ensure student retains the information)
Main part: covering a new topic (which has already been covered in school), going quickly through the fundamentals and then onto some challenging questions to really cement the student's understanding. Issuing homework on this topic if the student/parent would prefer
Final part: problem solving - going through a challenging problem which involves something the student has learned already, but applying it in a new way.
