Hello! My name is Nicolas and I am originally from the Paris region. After living for more than 15 years in Singapore and working within French and international educational environments, I have developed a perfect command of French and English as well as a good understanding of the academic expectations specific to students enrolled in international schools.

I am currently a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) student at ESSEC and based in the Paris region. My journey between France and Singapore has allowed me to develop a strong capacity for adaptation, an international outlook and a particular ease with bilingual students or those in an English speaking environment.

Alongside my studies, I regularly support several families through tutoring, with students ranging from primary school to middle school. I mainly teach English, French, mathematics and homework help, but also literature, history-geography / Humanities and science depending on the student's needs.

👉 Why English, literature and Humanities?
Having studied and worked for many years in an English speaking environment, I am perfectly comfortable supporting a student entirely in English. In particular, I am used to working on the comprehension of texts and novels, document analysis, written expression, vocabulary and the construction of argued responses.

For subjects such as Literature and Humanities, my goal is to help the student understand the documents studied, identify the important information, organize their ideas and write clear and structured answers. I can also support the student with their general organization and weekly homework.
Having lived in Singapore for a long time, I am fully familiar with the specific needs of expatriate families, which allows me to offer support tailored to their daily reality.

Currently a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) student at ESSEC, I also completed my military service in Singapore, where I strengthened my sense of responsibility, my rigor and my skills in stress management and teamwork.

👉 Why French and mathematics?
French is my native language, and I have always enjoyed passing on this linguistic and cultural richness. Aware of the specific difficulties encountered by French students living abroad (lack of exposure to the language, different methodology depending on the curriculum), I adapt my lessons to help them progress effectively and with confidence.

At the same time, mathematics is a key subject in schooling, and I have often noticed that some students need structured support to gain logic and confidence. Having received a rigorous education in this field and obtained excellent results in mathematics through to the end of secondary school (lycée), I offer math support up to middle school level, focusing on understanding concepts and the methodical application of exercises.

Après avoir vécu plus de 15 ans à Singapour et évolué dans des environnements éducatifs français et internationaux, j’ai développé une parfaite maîtrise du français et de l’anglais ainsi qu’une bonne compréhension des attentes académiques propres aux élèves scolarisés dans des établissements internationaux.

Je suis actuellement étudiant en Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) à l’ESSEC et basé en région parisienne. Mon parcours entre la France et Singapour m’a permis de développer une grande capacité d’adaptation, une ouverture internationale et une aisance particulière avec les élèves bilingues ou évoluant dans un environnement anglophone.

En parallèle de mes études, j’accompagne régulièrement plusieurs familles en tutorat, avec des élèves allant du primaire au collège. J’interviens principalement en anglais, français, mathématiques et aide aux devoirs, mais également en littérature, histoire-géographie / Humanities et sciences selon les besoins de l’élève.

👉 Pourquoi l’anglais, la littérature et les Humanities ?
Ayant étudié et travaillé pendant de nombreuses années dans un environnement anglophone, je suis parfaitement à l’aise pour accompagner un élève entièrement en anglais. J’ai notamment l’habitude de travailler la compréhension de textes et de romans, l’analyse de documents, l’expression écrite, le vocabulaire et la construction de réponses argumentées.

Pour les matières comme Literature et Humanities, mon objectif est d’aider l’élève à comprendre les documents étudiés, identifier les informations importantes, organiser ses idées et rédiger des réponses claires et structurées. Je peux également accompagner l’élève dans son organisation générale et ses devoirs hebdomadaires.
Installé durablement à Singapour, je suis pleinement familier avec les besoins spécifiques des familles expatriées, ce qui me permet d’offrir un accompagnement adapté à leur réalité quotidienne.

Actuellement étudiant en Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) à l’ESSEC, j’ai également effectué mon service militaire à Singapour, où j’ai renforcé mon sens des responsabilités, ma rigueur et mes compétences en gestion du stress et en travail d’équipe.

👉 Pourquoi le français et les mathématiques ?
Le français est ma langue maternelle, et j’ai toujours aimé transmettre cette richesse linguistique et culturelle. Conscient des difficultés spécifiques que rencontrent les élèves français vivant à l’étranger (manque d’exposition à la langue, méthodologie différente selon les programmes), j’adapte mes cours pour les aider à progresser efficacement, en toute confiance.

En parallèle, les mathématiques sont une matière clé dans la scolarité, et j’ai souvent constaté que certains élèves ont besoin d’un accompagnement structuré pour gagner en logique et en assurance. Ayant suivi un enseignement rigoureux dans ce domaine et obtenu d’excellents résultats en mathématiques jusqu’au lycée, je propose un soutien en maths jusqu’au niveau collège, en mettant l’accent sur la compréhension des concepts et l’application méthodique des exercices.

➡️ Middle school students: more structured support on comprehension, writing, methodology and test preparation. For literary subjects, I work in particular on text comprehension, analysis, vocabulary, argumentation and written expression in English or French.

Thanks to my international background, I am used to students following different school systems and I can easily adapt to the methods and materials used by their school. In particular, I am comfortable supporting a student in an English speaking IB/MYP environment, while adapting my methods to the specific expectations of their teachers.

Each student is different: I therefore build my sessions around their needs, difficulties and goals. I also place great importance on confidence, autonomy and regular progress tracking.

Pour les matières littéraires, je travaille notamment sur la compréhension de texte, l’analyse, le vocabulaire, l’argumentation et l’expression écrite en anglais ou en français.

➡️ Aide aux devoirs : accompagnement polyvalent en anglais, français, mathématiques, sciences et Humanities selon les besoins de l’élève.

Grâce à mon parcours international, je suis habitué aux élèves suivant différents systèmes scolaires et je peux facilement m’adapter aux méthodes et supports utilisés par leur établissement. Je suis notamment à l’aise pour accompagner un élève évoluant dans un environnement IB/MYP anglophone, tout en adaptant mes méthodes aux attentes précises de ses enseignants.

Chaque élève est différent : je construis donc mes séances autour de ses besoins, de ses difficultés et de ses objectifs. J’accorde également beaucoup d’importance à la confiance, à l’autonomie et au suivi régulier des progrès.
