I have tutored almost all age groups over the past 13 years. I engage with the natural curiosity inherent in all children, to make learning a journey into new worlds of possibility and discovery. My teaching success includes helping students express themselves with greater ease and confidence in a foreign language through the use of song, movement and pronunciation exercises; turning silence into conversation; and working in a focused manner to achieve the goal in sight. I have prepared students for the A1-C1 Cambridge English exams, the IELTS exam and for end-of-year school exams. During each lesson, I am in tune with the student’s state of being to gauge the best approach to working with them. I look forward to meeting your child and supporting them in the next steps of their education journey.

I have worked in two nurseries with children from 1 - 4 years of age; in Russia and in a forest school nursery in the UK. Working with small children requires caring skills, patience, the ability to observe and react rapidly when needed in order to protect them from danger. Some of these skills transfer into my more academic online lessons.
I have also taught English for 3 years at Le Rosey Camps in Switzerland. This is a 1-month intensive in the summer where children in the language academies study English for 3 hours of a day. This gave me the experience of teaching children from all over the world and making lessons as fun and interesting as possible through games, acting, movement and exploration of the outdoors.
I have worked as a teacher in companies in Russia, teaching business English and helping with translations.
I continue to teach students online. From 2025-26 I have prepared 3 students for the IELTS exam. They all received the necessary grade required to be accepted into the university of their choice.

My students always have the possibility to request topics for me to prepare for them. I employ a mixture of student and teacher-led lessons because when students learn about topics they are interested in, they are more engaged and the process is more productive for everyone. When preparing for exams we focus on learning the exam structure and what is required of the student to acheive a high grade. As a linguist translator and interpreter I enjoy helping my students grasp the intricacies of working between languages and preparing them for translation exams of school or university level and beyond.
