About
Hello!
I’m a third-year Bachelor’s student currently on exchange in Paris. My home university is Maastricht University in the Netherlands, where I’ve been developing my academic and professional skills. I have a strong passion for learning and strive to make learning engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student's needs. I can’t wait to work together and grow through our shared learning experience!
Teaching experience
My passion for teaching started when I had the opportunity to shadow my mother, a Primary Years teacher at my former IB school. This early exposure to education inspired me to begin teaching on my own. I started by guiding PYP students in reading comprehension and tutoring Grade 10 students in Mathematics, roles I held for several years.
When I moved away for university, I shifted my focus to music education and began teaching classical piano. For the past three years, I have worked with students of all ages, helping them develop their musical skills and confidence. While I have loved teaching piano, I’ve realized how much I miss academic tutoring. I am excited to be on this platform, ready to support and inspire students once again!
Teaching methods
I believe that effective teaching is all about adaptability: every student learns differently, and my goal is to tailor my approach to their unique needs. I strive to create an engaging and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas.
I'll make an effort to get to know my students such as their interests, hobbies, and learning styles so I can personalize lessons in a way that feels relevant and engaging for them. For younger students, I like to incorporate movement and real-world experiences, such as going outside and using observations from our surroundings to make learning more interactive. Whenever possible, I bring in games or long-term projects to keep students motivated and actively involved in the learning process.
Ultimately, my goal is not just to help students understand the material but to make learning enjoyable and meaningful, fostering curiosity and confidence that extend beyond our lessons.

Getting to know her
Music has been a big part of my life—I’ve been classically trained on the piano since I was four, and I also enjoy playing the guitar and a bit of the harp. Beyond music, I love exploring different cuisines and cooking, especially after an active day spent swimming, hiking, or playing badminton. I also enjoy meeting new people and consider myself a sociable and curious person, always eager to learn from different cultures and experiences.
Play is the highest form of research.” – Albert Einstein
This quote has always stuck with me, especially during the tougher times in my DP years. When studying felt overwhelming, I reminded myself that learning doesn’t have to be rigid, it can be playful, creative, and even fun. That’s something I try to bring into my teaching as well. When students enjoy the process, they’re more likely to stay curious and remember what they’ve learned long after the lesson ends.
