Engineering Master's Student at ENSAE Paris, specialising in Statistics, Economics, Data Science and Quantitative Methods. Experienced tutor providing Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and French lessons from primary school to French preparatory classes (Classes Préparatoires). Also teaches Mathematics and Physics following the UK curriculum from primary school through secondary school (GCSE and A-Level equivalent).

About

I am an engineering master’s student at ENSAE Paris, one of France’s leading schools for statistics, economics, data science and quantitative finance. My academic background has given me strong foundations in mathematics, physics, statistics, programming and data analysis.

Alongside my studies, I have gained solid tutoring experience. I spent two years tutoring students in Paris, from primary school to high school, helping them strengthen their understanding, improve their methods and gain confidence. I also gave academic support lessons through the École Polytechnique Equal Opportunity Center to high school students preparing to enter Classes Préparatoires, including MPSI and PCSI tracks, at Lycée Kléber in Strasbourg.

As a tutor, I focus on clarity, structure and confidence-building. I can support students in mathematics, physics, english and french , adapting each lesson to the student’s level, needs and goals. I particularly enjoy making difficult concepts feel more intuitive through concrete examples, step-by-step reasoning and rigorous problem-solving methods.

Teaching experience

I have solid tutoring experience with students from both the French and UK education systems. I have mainly worked with middle school and high school students, helping them strengthen their foundations, improve their working methods and gain confidence in subjects such as Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, French and English.

In the French system, I am familiar with the expectations of collège, lycée and scientific pathways, including support for students preparing for or studying in Classes Préparatoires. I have also taught students in demanding preparatory-level contexts, where the focus is not only on understanding the course, but also on developing rigorous methods, problem-solving skills and confidence under pressure.

In the UK system, I can support students in Mathematics and Physics from primary school to secondary school level, adapting my explanations and exercises to the student’s curriculum, pace and objectives.

Many of the students I have worked with had average grades at first, but their difficulties were often linked as much to a lack of confidence as to gaps in knowledge. My role was to help them rebuild solid foundations, understand what was expected of them, and progressively feel more capable and independent. I always aim to provide structured, patient and encouraging support, so that students can make visible progress while regaining confidence in their own abilities.

Teaching methods

My teaching method is based on personalisation, clarity and progression. I adapt each lesson to the student’s current level, learning pace and objectives. From my tutoring experience, especially with middle school and high school students, I have noticed that difficulties often come not only from a lack of knowledge, but also from a lack of confidence in their own abilities. My goal is therefore to help students rebuild that confidence while developing stronger working methods.

I usually begin by reviewing the course in detail, with a strong focus on definitions, formulas, methods and key properties. In my view, a solid understanding of the lesson is essential before moving on to exercises, because if the student does not understand the course, they will struggle to apply it properly.

I then make the material more accessible by using concrete examples, including real-life situations and intuitive explanations. Once the concepts are clearer, I introduce application exercises to verify understanding, before moving on to more advanced problems that develop reasoning, independence and problem-solving skills.

Finally, I pay close attention to the student’s confidence and comfort. I try to create a supportive atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and expressing what they do not understand. I have also provided support to students preparing for demanding academic paths such as Classes Préparatoires, and I believe that building confidence is essential for helping students progress and become more independent.

Interests

Outside of academics, I enjoy playing volleyball, photography and playing the guitar. Volleyball has taught me teamwork and discipline, while photography and guitar allow me to express creativity and attention to detail.
