About
I am fluent in both French and English. English thanks to my Singaporean mother who made me practice and took me around the world so I could train through daily conversations. I have been coming to Singapore since I was born for holidays to see my family. So even though it is the first time I will be living in Singapore I am quite familiar with the place. I am also capable of teaching math as I kept the subject throughout high school and had a 16/20 in math at the french Baccalauréat.

Teaching experience
During high school I was already tutoring students to help them prepare for the transition from primary school to middle school. I was helping them with homework, and if needed, I was doing some extra math exercises. I was also helping them practise their English.
Recently, I went to Cambodia for a month to be an English teacher with children from 5 to 18 years old at the Eau Kulen Free School. This experience was something that was new for me as I found myself teaching a class of around 12 children, a first for me. There I was also doing one-on-one with the youngest children to provide personalised teaching for their difficulties. During that time I developed new teaching skills, as I had to adapt and find ways to communicate with children that didn't speak a word of English.
Teaching methods
What I was usually doing was helping students with their homework, but on the side I was also doing more advanced teaching. For the homework I would ask them to tell me everything they knew about the subject, and then we would see if they had any difficulties and carry on with the exercise. If we were doing more advanced work, then I would come with some exercise either from a book or that I had created. We would then practise, and I explained what we were doing.
The fact that my mother is a teacher in primary school helped me acquire a good method for my tutoring.
