About
Hi! I’m Jacopo — originally from Italy, I lived in London for four years before moving to Singapore for my postgraduate studies. I completed my IB Diploma with strong results (6–7s) in HL/SL Economics, French B, Biology, and English A Language & Literature, and went on to earn my MSc degrees from the London School of Economics (LSE) and ESSEC Business School Singapore.
Having gone through the IB myself, I understand how challenging yet rewarding the programme can be. My teaching approach focuses on building clarity and confidence — breaking down complex ideas, improving essay structures, and strengthening analytical and critical thinking skills.
Beyond subject tutoring, I also help students with university applications, including crafting personal statements and preparing for interviews, drawing on my experience applying to and studying at top global universities.
Outside of tutoring, I’m passionate about languages, travel, and global education, and I enjoy helping students not just achieve great grades, but also truly enjoy the learning process.

Teaching experience
Throughout high school and university, I’ve supported middle and high school students in preparing for their GCSE and IB exams, helping them build strong study habits, improve writing skills, and gain confidence in approaching exam-style questions.
I have also provided guidance for university applications, including brainstorming and refining college essays and personal statements, ensuring each student’s voice and achievements come through clearly and authentically.
These experiences have allowed me to develop a tutoring style that is both structured and flexible — one that adapts to each student’s strengths and learning pace, while keeping sessions engaging and focused on long-term academic growth.
Teaching methods
I like to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes — that’s how real learning happens. My lessons are flexible and tailored to each student’s individual pace, goals, and learning style, whether it’s improving grades, building confidence, or preparing for exams and university applications.
Having completed the IB Diploma myself and later pursued postgraduate studies at top global universities, I understand the challenges of managing demanding coursework and expectations. I help students develop stronger analytical, writing, and critical thinking skills, while also improving time management and study habits.
My approach combines clear explanations, real examples, and active discussion to make lessons engaging and practical. Above all, I aim to make learning enjoyable and confidence-building — helping students not only perform well academically but also feel genuinely proud of their progress.
