About
Hi, I’m Bharti Ahuja, an educator from India with over 5 years of teaching experience. I hold a double bachelor's degree—one in Finance and the other in Education—along with a master's degree in Finance. This unique academic background enables me to integrate analytical thinking with strong pedagogical approaches, making learning both structured and engaging for students across all age groups.
I specialize in working with a wide range of learners, including students with ADHD, twice-exceptional (2e) profiles, and gifted children. I also support middle school students with evidence-based literacy and numeracy practices, thanks to my certifications in the Science of Reading (SOR) and Effective Mathematics Teaching Practices – Middle School, awarded by the Indiana Department of Education.
In addition to core academic instruction, I have expanded my teaching into SAT English prep, where I guide students in developing strategic reading and writing skills. I am also passionate about the future of AI in education and hold certificates in Demystifying AI, How AI Works, and Smart and Responsible Use of AI in the Classroom, equipping me to thoughtfully integrate emerging technologies into my teaching.
I believe that every child learns differently, and as an educator, my goal is to create a safe, encouraging space where students feel confident to explore, question, and grow. My teaching philosophy emphasizes self-questioning as a powerful learning tool—I encourage my students to think critically, challenge assumptions, and become independent thinkers.
Fluent in both English and Hindi, I connect easily with a diverse student population. Outside of teaching, I find peace in listening to calming music and enjoy spending quality time with my family—whether that means playing board games or cooking with my husband.

Teaching methods
1) Concept-First instruction– I prioritize deep understanding over rote memorization, ensuring students grasp the why behind every concept before moving to practice.
2) Strategy-Based Learning (Especially for SAT) – Students learn proven frameworks for reading comprehension, vocabulary in context, and math problem-solving, helping them improve accuracy, speed, and confidence.
3) Real-World Connections – Abstract concepts are linked to everyday applications (e.g., math through real-life scenarios, vocabulary through logical associations) to improve retention and engagement.
4) Cross-Subject Thinking – I integrate skills across Math and English to strengthen logic, comprehension, and analytical reasoning—key for standardized tests and long-term academic success.
