Experienced teacher, tenured in the French public school system, more than 10 years of teaching, from primary school to high school
Professeure expérimentée - titulaire de la fonction publique – Plus de 10 ans d’enseignement, de l'école primaire au lycée
About
I am a primary school teacher, tenured in the French civil service, with more than 10 years of experience in the French national education system (Éducation nationale).
Throughout my career, I have taught at different levels of nursery and primary school, across all subjects in the curriculum. I have also worked in specialised classes, with pupils presenting in particular autism spectrum disorders or cognitive impairments.
For the past year, I have also been giving online private lessons to primary, middle school and high school students. I support students both in consolidating what they have learned and overcoming certain difficulties, as well as in deepening their knowledge or preparing for an exam.
I have already prepared several middle school students for the "Diplôme national du brevet" (the French middle school certificate), including students with autism spectrum disorders. I am currently continuing to support a high school student, whom I am preparing this year for the early written exams of the French baccalaureate in French.
I hold a master's degree in primary school teaching as well as a master's degree in Chinese, and I also have solid training in foreign languages, particularly English and Chinese.
My background in public education, specialised education and private tutoring now allows me to support students with very different profiles, from primary school to high school.
I would be delighted to put my experience to work for your child's success!

Teaching experience
10+ years of teaching
More than 10 years of experience teaching visual arts in primary school, as part of my role as a primary school teacher within the French national education system.
Designing and implementing lessons and artistic projects suited to different levels: drawing, painting, collage, working with shapes, colours, materials and volumes, discovering artworks and artists, and developing students' creativity and personal expression.
More than 10 years of experience teaching science in primary school, as part of my role as a primary school teacher within the French national education system, particularly in areas related to life and earth sciences: living things, the human body and health, living beings and their environment, ecosystems, biodiversity and the main characteristics of the Earth.
Implementing lessons based on observation, questioning, experimentation, document analysis and the progressive acquisition of a scientific approach.
For the past year, I have also been giving online private biology and earth science (SVT) lessons to several middle school students. I support them in understanding and learning curriculum concepts, acquiring scientific vocabulary, analysing and using documents, formulating scientific reasoning, as well as preparing for tests.
More than 10 years of experience teaching mathematics in primary school, as part of my role as a primary school teacher within the French national education system: numeracy, mental and written calculation, problem solving, fractions and decimal numbers, quantities and measurements, geometry, proportionality and mathematical reasoning.
I have also taught mathematics to students with special educational needs, in particular in specialised classes, adapting materials, instructions and progression to the abilities and pace of each student.
For the past year, I have been giving online private mathematics lessons to several primary and middle school students. I support middle school students in understanding and consolidating curriculum concepts, in particular numerical and algebraic calculation, fractions, proportionality, equations, functions, geometry, statistics and probability, as well as in acquiring problem solving methods.
I have also prepared several Year 10 (troisième) students for the mathematics exam of the "Diplôme national du brevet", through targeted curriculum revision, methodological work and progressive practice with exam exercises.
More than 10 years of experience teaching English in primary school, as part of my role as a primary school teacher: acquiring basic vocabulary and grammatical structures, listening and speaking skills, reading comprehension and discovering English speaking culture.
For the past year, I have also been teaching English in online private lessons to several primary and middle school students. I support students in consolidating concepts studied in class, grammar, vocabulary, written and oral comprehension and expression, as well as preparing for tests.
More than 10 years of experience teaching French in primary school as part of my role as a primary school teacher within the French national education system: reading and comprehension, grammar, conjugation, spelling, vocabulary, written and oral expression, text study and writing production.
I have also taught French to students with special educational needs, in particular in specialised classes, adapting materials, instructions and learning content to their level and difficulties.
For the past year, I have been giving online private French lessons to several primary, middle school and high school students. I support middle school students in particular with grammar, conjugation, spelling, text comprehension and analysis, writing and methodology.
I have already prepared several students for the "Diplôme national du brevet" (the French middle school certificate), including students with autism spectrum disorders.
In high school, I am currently supporting a student whom I have been following since the "seconde" year (Year 11) and who is preparing this year for the early written exams of the French baccalaureate in French: literary analysis, study of works and texts, mastery of language, methodology and exam exercise practice.
I hold a master's degree in Chinese from INALCO, and I have taught Mandarin as part of my role within the French national education system, to nursery and primary school students as well as in specialised classes for students with special educational needs.
I offered an introduction suited to the age and profile of the students: discovering the sounds and tones of Mandarin, common vocabulary, first sentence structures, an introduction to Chinese characters and discovering Chinese culture.
For the past year, I have also been teaching Chinese in online private lessons to a business school student at beginner level. The learning covers in particular pronunciation and pinyin, tones, characters and their writing, vocabulary, grammar as well as oral and written comprehension and expression.
More than 10 years of experience teaching history and geography in primary school, as part of my role as a primary school teacher within the French national education system: acquiring chronological and geographical landmarks, studying major historical periods, reading and analysing documents, maps and timelines, understanding territories, and introducing historical and geographical reasoning.
For the past year, I have also been giving online private history-geography lessons to several middle school students. I support students in learning and understanding the curriculum, acquiring essential landmarks, analysing documents, writing developed answers and methodology.
I also support Year 10 (troisième) students in their preparation for the history-geography-civic education (EMC) exam of the "Diplôme national du brevet", with curriculum revision, methodological work and practice with the different types of exam exercises.
Since last year, I have been providing regular support through online private lessons to a student enrolled in distance learning with the CNED (French national centre for distance education), helping her organise and plan her work, understand lessons and instructions, complete exercises and homework, and consolidate the concepts studied.
I am continuing to support her this year in high school, with support tailored to the requirements of her level and specific preparation for the early written exams of the French baccalaureate in French: studying texts and works, methodology, practice with written exam exercises and preparation for the oral exam.
More than 10 years of experience as a primary school teacher in the French national education system, providing daily support to students across all subjects in the curriculum.
For the past year, I have also been giving online private lessons and providing regular support to primary, middle school and high school students: reviewing concepts studied in class, homework help, explaining concepts that were not understood, preparing for tests, organising work and acquiring learning methods.
I adapt my support to the level and needs of each student in order to help them consolidate what they have learned and gradually become more independent in their schoolwork.
Teaching methods
Each student is different: in my opinion, there is therefore no single method that can suit everyone. My support is built according to the student's level, their learning pace, their strengths, their difficulties and their goals.
During the first lessons, I first try to understand precisely what is causing the problem. A difficulty may come from a poorly understood concept, weak foundations, a lack of method, a misunderstood instruction, or simply a lack of confidence. Identifying the source of the block makes it possible to offer work that is truly tailored.
~ How does a lesson work?
Depending on the student's needs, we can start by going back over a concept studied in class, reviewing homework or a test, preparing for an exam, or working directly on an identified difficulty.
I then explain the concept clearly and progressively, not hesitating to change my approach or use other examples when the first explanation is not enough.
The student then moves on to practice through progressive exercises, in order to check that they are able to apply what they have just understood on their own. Correcting mistakes is a full part of the learning process: I ask them to identify their errors, understand them, and, when necessary, restate the rule or reasoning used.
My goal is not simply for the student to find the right answer during the lesson, but for them to then be able to reproduce the approach on their own.
~ Developing real work methods ~
Beyond knowledge itself, I place great importance on methodology. Depending on the student's age and level, we work in particular on:
- correctly understanding and analysing an instruction;
- learning and memorising more effectively;
- organising their work and revision;
- writing precise and structured answers;
- justifying reasoning;
- identifying and correcting their own mistakes;
- acquiring the specific methods expected in tests and exams.
For students preparing for an exam, the lessons progressively incorporate the methods, exercises and requirements specific to the exams, as well as regular practice to build efficiency and independence.
~ Teaching that adapts to the student ~
When a student does not understand, I believe it is not enough to simply repeat the same explanation. I look for another way to present the concept, break the steps down further, or offer intermediate exercises.
This ability to adapt is particularly important with students who have special educational needs, for whom the pace, the way instructions are presented, the amount of work, or the progression may require adjustments.
Finally, I favour a teaching approach that is caring but demanding: encouraging the student and highlighting their progress while gradually giving them the means to overcome their difficulties.
The long term goal is for them to need me less and less: to understand better, know how to work, gain confidence and gradually become independent in their learning.
- comprendre et analyser correctement une consigne ;
- apprendre et mémoriser plus efficacement ;
- organiser son travail et ses révisions ;
- rédiger des réponses précises et structurées ;
- justifier un raisonnement ;
- identifier et corriger ses propres erreurs ;
