Pure Mathematics MSc Tutor | University and Advanced School Mathematics
About
I hold a BSc in Mathematics and I am currently completing an MSc in Pure Mathematics at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest. I have experience teaching both secondary-school and university-level mathematics, and I also studied at university in Finland through the Erasmus programme.
I support secondary-school students with their regular mathematics courses, help them prepare for school-leaving examinations, and work with students applying to international universities. I also teach undergraduate mathematics, including calculus, linear algebra, geometry, real and complex analysis, abstract algebra, probability, discrete mathematics, graph theory and differential equations.
My lessons are structured, precise and adapted to the student’s level and goals. I focus on identifying the exact source of difficulty, strengthening missing foundations and explaining not only how a method works, but why it works. My aim is to help students become confident, independent and rigorous problem solvers.

Teaching experience
My tutoring experience is centred on one-to-one online mathematics lessons for students from the beginning of secondary school through university level. I work with students on regular school support, homework, problem sets, final exam preparation, and university mathematics courses.
At secondary and pre-university level, I provide regular curriculum support and final exam preparation, and I also take on students preparing for more advanced international assessments such as MAT, STEP, IB Mathematics AA/AI, A-Level Mathematics/Further Mathematics, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, SAT/ACT Math, and GRE/GMAT Quant.
At university level, I offer support in a wide range of mathematics courses, including algebra, linear algebra, analysis, calculus, probability, statistics, discrete mathematics, graph theory, number theory, logic, topology, set theory, geometry, measure theory, and related topics in pure mathematics. My background in pure mathematics allows me to support both practical problem-solving and more rigorous theoretical work, depending on the course and the student’s needs.
Teaching methods
My teaching is structured, interactive and tailored to each student’s level, goals and learning style. I believe it is essential to identify exactly where understanding begins to break down. We then return to that point, strengthen the missing foundation and break the material down into clear, manageable steps.
I combine concise explanations with guided problem solving, targeted practice and regular checks for understanding. Rather than simply demonstrating solutions, I encourage students to explain their reasoning and gradually solve problems independently.
I adapt each lesson to the student’s immediate needs, whether that means reviewing school material, filling gaps in previous knowledge, preparing for an examination or developing a deeper understanding of mathematics.
