Experienced international educator specialising in EAL, secondary education, academic success, and professional English communication across diverse learning environments.
About
With over 12 years of experience in education, I am a dedicated English language educator and academic support specialist with a strong background in secondary, adult, and international education. Throughout my career, I have taught English across a wide range of contexts, including secondary schools, adult education programmes, universities, and corporate training environments.
In addition to teaching English, I have provided tutoring across all secondary-level subjects for more than a decade, supporting students in achieving academic success across diverse curricula and learning needs. My expertise spans English language acquisition, exam preparation, academic writing, and cross-curricular support.
I have extensive experience teaching General and Business English to professionals through a private language school in Luxembourg, working with employees and executives from leading international organisations and companies. Clients included Pictet, Crédit Agricole, Lombard International Assurance, Luxair, and Ferrero. This work enabled me to develop specialised expertise in professional communication, business English, and adult language acquisition within multinational environments.
Internationally, I also taught English at National Economics University in Hanoi, where I worked with university students in academic English and language development.
I currently work at an international school in Paris as the sole member of the Secondary EAL (English as an Additional Language) department. In this role, I support students from Years 7 to 12, teaching and preparing learners for GCSE, IGCSE, and A Level programmes. Alongside classroom teaching, I play a central role in curriculum development, content creation, assessment design, examination preparation, and wider academic planning. My work is driven by a commitment to inclusive education, student achievement, and the development of engaging, high-quality learning experiences for multilingual learners.

Teaching experience
Over the past 12 years, I have developed extensive teaching experience across secondary, adult, university, and international education settings. My career has focused on English language teaching, academic support, and curriculum development, working with learners from a wide range of cultural, linguistic, and academic backgrounds.
I have taught English and provided tutoring across all secondary-level subjects, supporting students in achieving success in both mainstream and international curricula. My experience includes working closely with learners preparing for key examinations, developing academic literacy, and building confidence in language acquisition and subject-specific understanding.
In Luxembourg, I taught General and Business English through a private language school, delivering professional language training to employees and executives from major international companies including Pictet, Crédit Agricole, Lombard International Assurance, Luxair, and Ferrero. This role strengthened my ability to teach professional communication skills, business English, and industry-specific language within multicultural corporate environments.
I also gained valuable higher education experience teaching English at National Economics University, where I supported university students in developing academic and communicative English skills.
Currently, I work at an international school in Paris as the sole member of the Secondary EAL department. I teach students from Years 7 to 12, supporting learners across GCSE, IGCSE, and A Level programmes. In addition to classroom teaching, I am heavily involved in curriculum planning, assessment design, examination preparation, and content creation. My role requires a high level of independence, adaptability, and collaboration to ensure students receive targeted academic and language support across the secondary school.
Teaching methods
My teaching approach is student-centred, inclusive, and highly adaptable, designed to support learners from diverse linguistic, academic, and cultural backgrounds. I focus on building confidence, independence, and critical thinking through engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to individual learning needs and abilities.
With extensive experience teaching EAL, GCSE, IGCSE, A Level, and adult learners, I combine strong academic expectations with practical language development strategies to ensure students can access curriculum content successfully. I emphasise clear communication, scaffolded learning, and the integration of language skills across subjects, helping students develop both academic proficiency and real-world communication abilities.
In the classroom, I use a variety of teaching methods including collaborative learning, formative assessment, targeted intervention, and interactive content creation to maintain high levels of engagement and progress. My experience in curriculum development and exam preparation allows me to design structured, outcomes-focused lessons that prepare students effectively for assessments while encouraging curiosity and independent learning.
I also believe strongly in building positive relationships with students and creating a supportive learning environment where learners feel challenged, motivated, and valued.
