Preparation for oral exams and entrance interviews: brevet, Grand Oral, EAF (French oral exam), and admissions interviews for Sciences Po and other schools.

About

A graduate of Sciences Po, trained at Harvard (Executive Education) and a former lecturer at Sciences Po, I have been helping young people and professionals with public speaking for 8 years.

I prepare students for the oral exams that matter: the brevet oral exam, the Grand Oral of the baccalauréat, the French oral exam (EAF), Sciences Po admission interviews, business and engineering school interviews, Parcoursup applications and interviews for universities abroad.

Having taken these oral exams myself and taught at university level, I know what examiners expect: what makes the difference between a candidate who recites and one who convinces.

I regularly work with schools and universities.

I also share advice in videos on my social media:

Teaching experience

8 years of experience in public speaking training, working with school, university and professional audiences.

Higher education: Lecturer at Sciences Po, where I supervised students on oral expression, structuring a speech and presenting in front of a panel.

Schools: Regular sessions in secondary schools, particularly with students preparing for the brevet oral exam, the French oral exam and the Grand Oral. Group workshops and individual coaching.

Preparation for competitive exams and admissions: Coaching candidates for Sciences Po admission interviews, business and engineering school interviews, as well as guidance and motivation interviews.

Professional training: Coaching executives and young professionals on public speaking in meetings, client presentations and job interviews.

This dual experience, academic panels on one side, professional demands on the other, allows me to adjust expectations according to each student's deadline.

Teaching methods

Diagnosis. The first session is used to identify the deadline, the level of preparation and the sticking point: stage fright, structure of the speech, voice, posture, or ability to handle the panel's questions.

Method. Each session combines methodological input and practical exercises. We work on building the speech, the opening hook, managing the allotted time and the clarity of the argument.

Simulations. The student performs under real conditions (official duration, panel format, follow-up questions), with precise feedback after each attempt: what worked, what needs to be corrected, and how to correct it.

Autonomy. The goal is not to have a text repeated, but to provide reusable tools: handling an unexpected question, rephrasing, regaining control when the thread is lost. Tools that are useful well beyond the exam.

Recommended format: 6 to 8 sessions over the two months before the exam, or occasional simulation sessions before the deadline.

Interests

Debate - In all its forms: public speaking competitions, oratory contests, in depth discussions. This is what led me to this profession, and what shaped my conviction: public speaking is not just an exercise in eloquence, it is a tool for empowerment. Knowing how to defend an idea, hold your ground against contradiction, make yourself heard in a room where you don't feel legitimate: that changes a life path.

Martial arts - Black belt in karate and taekwondo. A long standing practice that taught me rigor, consistency and pressure management. These are exactly the qualities I pass on for oral exams: progress doesn't come from flashes of genius, but from repetition and precise corrections. And staying composed when the stakes rise is something you train for.

Volunteer work - For several years, I have run trips and programs for young people, focused on guidance and mentoring. Helping a teenager who doesn't yet know where they're headed, helping them articulate what truly interests them and say it with confidence: it's the same work as oral exam preparation, with more time. It's also where I see most concretely what speaking up unlocks in a young person.

Favourite quote
“

Speech belongs half to the speaker, half to the listener." (Montaigne)

This is often forgotten when preparing for an oral exam: we work on our text, not on our audience. Yet it is the panel that decides whether the message gets through.
