Experienced International Chinese Educator | IB, IGCSE & A-Level Specialist | Curriculum Designer
About
I am a passionate Mandarin language educator with extensive experience teaching students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. Having worked in universities, international schools, and online learning environments, I enjoy helping learners achieve their academic goals while building confidence in using Mandarin. I believe language learning should be both structured and enjoyable, and I always aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress.
Teaching experience
I have 10 years of teaching experience in higher education, international schools, and online tutoring. I have taught students preparing for IB, IGCSE, A-Level, AP Chinese, HSK, and general Mandarin courses, as well as professionals seeking to improve their communication skills. My experience also includes curriculum design, instructional design, and educational technology, enabling me to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
Teaching methods
My lessons are tailored to each student's goals, learning style, and pace. I use a communicative, student-centred approach that balances speaking, listening, reading, and writing while developing exam techniques where appropriate. Lessons are interactive, well-structured, and designed to build both confidence and long-term language skills. I regularly provide personalised feedback and adjust my teaching to ensure steady progress.

Getting to know her
Outside teaching, I enjoy travelling, exploring different cultures, reading about education and psychology, and keeping up with new educational technologies. I also enjoy walking, fitness, and discovering local food and cafés whenever I visit a new city. These interests help me bring authentic cultural topics and real-world conversations into my lessons.
