An international female IBDP-certified physics educator helping students worldwide achieve confidence, clarity, and exceptional results.
About
Smitha is an International Physics Educator and IBDP Physics Specialist with over 18 years of teaching experience, specialising in IBDP Physics HL and SL, IGCSE Physics, and Cambridge AS and A Level Physics. She holds a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Mumbai and has professional training and certifications from Elite IB Tutors, Lanterna Education UK, and Tutor Plus Geneva.
Her strongest professional distinction is her extensive international teaching experience. Smitha has been entrusted with online Physics teaching and substitute teaching roles in international school environments across different countries and educational systems, including Clearwater Central Catholic High School in Florida, International School of Dakar in Senegal, AOBA Japan, and other international schools. She has also worked with leading organisations including Lanterna Education and Elite IB Tutors, supporting students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.
Alongside one to one tutoring, Smitha has extensive experience conducting intensive IBDP Physics revision workshops and examination preparation programmes for international students. Her teaching combines strong subject knowledge with conceptual clarity, personalised instruction, structured problem solving, and exam focused strategies.
Her approach is based on the belief that understanding must come before memorisation. She helps students connect Physics concepts with mathematical application, real world situations, and unfamiliar examination problems. Through targeted past paper practice, examiner focused guidance, personalised revision resources, and continuous feedback, she helps students develop both confidence and independent problem solving skills.
Smitha is also the creator of Physics Pathfinder, an educational platform providing Physics learning resources, revision materials, conceptual explanations, and exam preparation support for students following international curricula.
Her mission is to make Physics accessible, engaging, and less intimidating while helping students develop the conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and confidence they need to achieve their highest potential.
