Expert Tutoring in History, Geography, Politics & English Language
About
I am a fully qualified secondary school teacher offering personalised tutoring in History, Geography, Politics, and English Language, as well as homework support across subjects. I work with students following the British, American, and IB curricula, supporting a wide range of ages and abilities.
My lessons are student-centred, structured, and tailored to individual needs. Whether a student is building subject knowledge, improving exam technique, strengthening literacy skills, or simply needing guidance and confidence with homework. I place a strong emphasis on clear explanations, organisation, and targeted feedback to help students make real, measurable progress.
With experience teaching diverse learners, I create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident, motivated, and capable. My goal is to help every student develop strong academic skills while building independence and self-belief.

My classroom and tutoring experience includes teaching History, Geography, Politics, and English Language, as well as providing structured homework support and exam preparation. I have experience:
• Teaching KS3, GCSE, A Level and equivalent international programmes
• Supporting students with essay writing, literacy, and exam technique
• Preparing students for assessments through targeted revision and feedback
• Delivering engaging, well-structured lessons tailored to individual needs
• Working closely with parents and students to monitor progress and set goals
Through both classroom teaching and one-to-one tutoring, I aim to create a supportive, encouraging learning environment where students feel confident, motivated, and capable of achieving their best.
Teaching methods
My teaching approach is student-centred, structured, and supportive. I adapt each lesson to the individual learner’s needs, learning style, and curriculum requirements (British, American, or IB).
I focus on:
• Breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps
• Using active questioning and discussion to build understanding
• Developing strong literacy, writing, and exam skills
• Providing targeted feedback to help students improve and gain confidence
My lessons are carefully planned but flexible, allowing students to ask questions, revisit difficult areas, and progress at a pace that suits them.
