A passionate and globally minded Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) educator, I have dedicated my career to fostering linguistic excellence and cultural fluency across Europe. Born and raised in Switzerland, I turned my lifelong passion for languages into my profession by studying Modern Foreign Languages at the Schule fuer Angewandte Linguistik, Zurich.
I began my teaching career in Switzerland, where I prepared students for the Diplôme de l'Alliance Française and taught EFL at the grammar school.
Driven by a desire to expand my own linguistic horizons as a global citizen, I later moved to Italy to immerse myself in the study of Italian. This move marked the beginning of a successful, multi-faceted teaching career within Italy's premier educational institutions. In Milan, I joined the Swiss School of Milan (Scuola Svizzera Milano), where I taught English and successfully prepared students for both the Swiss Matura (A-levels) and advanced English qualifications, including the Cambridge FCE and CAE.
Seeking a return to teaching my native language, I transitioned to the International School of Como. There, I specialized in the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, guiding students through the rigorous IB Diploma German B (SL and HL) program as well as the MYP German e-Assessments.Most recently, I expanded my portfolio into higher education at the University of Milan, lecturing in both German and English as a Foreign Language.
With extensive experience spanning Swiss, International, and university-level curricula, I remain committed to empowering the next generation of multilingual global citizens.

Teaching methods

*Lesson Structure:**

Warm-up activity: Fun, quick activities to get students immediately thinking and speaking in the language.

The Daily Goal : We read or listen to a real-world story, video, or book excerpt together.

Active Practice : Students practice writing, speaking, or solving language tasks with my close support.

Wrap-up: A quick wrap-up to celebrate what they learned and see what needs extra practice.

Teaching Methods

The Communicative Approach (/German B/French B/EAL MYP): Minimizing rote memorization by forcing active communication through role-plays, debates, and real-world scenarios.

Simplified Text Breakdown: I make tough reading easy. I use color-coding, visual charts, and starter sentences to help students unpack more advanced French and German texts.

Step-by-Step Exam Prep: We look at past exam papers together so students know exactly what to expect and how to score top marks.

Why do parents trust me

  • Encouraging & patient: Learning a language can be tiring. I create a safe, warm space where mistakes are just steps toward success.
  • Passionate & High-Energy: I bring lessons to life, making learning feel like an adventure. Students and I go on a journey together.
  • Goal-Oriented: I track students' progress closely to target their specific weak spots and build their confidence quickly.
