Mathematics teacher, online private tutoring, caring pedagogy, clear method and personalized support.

About

My name is Marie. I am a Civil Engineer and also a certified teacher with the French national education system.

I started teaching in 2007 at the Cité Internationale in Lyon, then I moved abroad and lived and taught in Turin, Munich, and Madrid, both in European schools and French high schools.

Throughout these various experiences, I noticed how mathematics too often remained THE most disliked subject.

Since 2019, I have been supporting my students online in their mathematical journey, and I am committed to helping them reconcile with this subject.

I am delighted when I hear "It's actually easy!" or "Oh I see, that's how it works!". My goal is to boost each of my students' self-confidence, so that they approach their tests and exams feeling set up for success.

Convinced of the benefits of personalized support, I chose to develop my own online tutoring business and offer all my students the tools and strategies suited to them so they can succeed and FINALLY love math!

Teaching experience

A mathematics teacher for several years, I have taught in middle school and high school, where I supported students of varied profiles and levels up to the baccalauréat.

Alongside my work in schools, I have given private lessons, first in person and now exclusively online. This dual experience has allowed me to develop a teaching approach adapted to each student's needs, whether it's filling gaps, preparing for an exam, or aiming for excellence.

Over the years, I have helped many students improve their results, develop their working methods, and build their self-confidence. My goal is to help each student understand mathematics in depth in order to make lasting progress.

Teaching methods

A passionate mathematics teacher, I support students from middle school to high school, up to the baccalauréat, through private lessons that are 100% online.

Each lesson is fully personalized according to the student's level, goals, and needs. My approach is primarily based on understanding concepts in order to build solid foundations and develop autonomy and confidence.

Each session follows a clear and effective structure:

  • a theoretical part to understand the essential concepts;
  • exercises done step by step to acquire the method;
  • independent exercises with real time correction and explanations to consolidate learning and immediately correct mistakes.

I use an interactive digital whiteboard that allows working just like on paper, while enjoying the benefits of online lessons. At the end of each session, the student receives a complete PDF containing the lesson, demonstrations, methods, and corrected exercises, so they can review effectively on their own.

Patient, caring, and demanding, I strive to create a trusting environment where every student dares to ask questions and progresses at their own pace. My goal is to make mathematics more accessible, to pass on a lasting working method, and to help each student reach their goals, whether that means gaining confidence, improving results, or preparing for an exam.
