About
I completed the IB Diploma with 42/45 and later studied Psychology at Leiden University in the Netherlands. I have over 4 years of tutoring experience, working with students from a range of international and IB school backgrounds across Spain, the Netherlands, Lithuania, and other countries.
My main subjects are IB Mathematics: Applications & Interpretation, Psychology, Spanish, and Russian. Having gone through the IB myself, I understand both the academic demands of the programme and the pressure students often experience alongside them. My teaching combines strong subject knowledge with a structured, exam-focused approach, while adapting lessons to the individual student’s level, learning style, and goals.

Teaching experience
3 to 5 years of teaching
Worked with IB Biology students who struggled with the sheer volume of content, helping them turn dense topics into clear systems, connect concepts across the syllabus, and visualise content using clear tables and sketches .
Taught a group of students from the same school who initially struggled to understand derivatives and integrals. By the end, they understood the concepts well enough to explain them clearly to their classmates.
Worked with a student who initially enrolled in Spanish Ab Initio, but we quickly realised the course was too easy for him and moved toward a more challenging Spanish B level. I prioritised simplifying grammar, making the language feel approachable rather than intimidating, and keeping lessons engaging. They ultimately scored 6/7 in Spanish B.
Followed a highly STEM-focused IB student taking Math AA HL, Physics HL and Computer Science who initially scored 2/7 in Psychology. After working together on essay structure, study selection, evaluation and exam technique, he achieved 6/7 in his final exam.
Teaching methods
My teaching approach is highly tailored to each student. I aspire the lessons to be and feel like a space where students can ask questions openly, discuss what they are struggling with, and make mistakes without feeling additional pressure as they already get enough of that at school. I have worked with students with very different personalities, confidence levels, and academic needs, but I always reinforce structure and consistency: clear explanations, organised revision, and a strong understanding of what the IB actually expects. Past papers are a major part of my lessons, as they help students become comfortable with exam-style questions, understand marking criteria, and build a realistic picture of their current grade and what they need to do to improve it.
