About

Hello! I am passionate about sharing knowledge and I enjoy supporting students to help them overcome their difficulties and reveal their potential.

I offer private lessons in French and mathematics up to Year 11 (seconde), tailored to each student's level, needs and personality.

My goal is not only to have a lesson learned or an exercise completed: I want to help the student understand, gain confidence and acquire good work methods that will serve them in the long term.

I know that some subjects can sometimes seem complicated or discouraging. That is why I take the time to explain things differently, to go back over the basics if necessary, and to create an environment where the student can ask questions without fear of making mistakes.

In French, we work on comprehension, written and oral expression, grammar, spelling, as well as methods for succeeding in homework and exams.

In mathematics, I favor understanding reasoning rather than mechanical learning: the goal is for the student to know why they do things and to gradually gain autonomy.

Teaching experience

Over the course of my experience, I have had the opportunity to support more than 15 students in French and mathematics, particularly in preparation for the brevet des collèges (end of middle school exam).

I have helped students regain confidence, fill in their gaps and organize their work better in order to approach their exams more calmly. This support notably enabled several students to make significant progress, with successful preparation for the brevet, including one success with the "Bien" (Good) distinction.

These experiences have taught me that there is no single way to teach: each student has their own difficulties, pace and way of understanding. I therefore adapt my explanations and methods to make concepts more accessible and enable everyone to progress.

What motivates me most in teaching is seeing a student go from "I can't do it" to "I understand and I can succeed."

Teaching methods

Each lesson begins with a discussion to understand the current needs: a specific difficulty, preparation for a test, or a need to regain confidence.

My method is based on several principles:

1) Understand before learning

I always try to make concepts simpler and more concrete through explanations tailored to the student.

2) Move forward step by step

We consolidate the basics before going further in order to build solid progress.

3) Practice with method

Exercises help verify understanding, learn to think, and develop good habits.

4) Encourage and highlight progress

Confidence plays an essential role in success. A student who regains confidence dares more, progresses faster, and often rediscovers the pleasure of learning.

My goal is for each student to leave a lesson thinking: "I can do it."
