IB Economics & Business Tutor | ESSEC BBA (Top 20%) | Distinction Graduate | Multilingual
About
I am a BBA student at ESSEC Business School in France, ranked among the world’s top business schools. I graduated with distinction from the International College in Beirut, one of Lebanon’s most prestigious international schools, where I completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma with Higher Level Economics and Business Management and Computer Science.
Having completed the IB myself in 2024, I understand the challenges students face and the level of analytical thinking required to succeed. I ranked in the top 20% of my cohort at ESSEC, and my academic background in economics, finance, and accounting allows me to support students in deeply understanding the concepts behind the IB syllabus.
Alongside academics, I bring real-world experience from internships in marketing, auditing, and sales, where I worked on financial analysis, market research, and strategy. I am also trilingual (Arabic, English, French) and enjoy helping students develop confidence in discussing business and economic concepts.
My goal is to help IB students fully understand the material and build strong analytical reasoning skills, enabling them to excel academically!

Teaching experience
- Although I am early in my formal tutoring career, I gained significant informal tutoring experience during the IB program. I regularly tutored friends and classmates in Economics and Business Management, helping them review course material and preparing structured notes that simplified complex topics as well as correcting their IA's. This experience helped me develop the ability to explain difficult concepts in a clear and accessible way. Academically, I am currently studying at ESSEC Business School, where I rank in the top 20% of my BBA cohort. My coursework includes economics, finance, accounting, and business strategy.
- In addition, my professional experience provides practical insight into the subjects I teach:
- Audit Internship – Qatar Building Company & Workfolio Consulting: analyzing financial and operational data and assessing risk management.
- Assistant Manager – Royal Gold: improving sales performance and customer experience.
- Marketing Internship – Rolex: conducting client research and evaluating marketing strategies.
- These experiences allow me to explain business and economic concepts using real-world examples, making lessons more engaging and practical.
Teaching methods
- My teaching approach focuses on deep understanding.
- Lessons are structured around:
- Breaking down complex IB Economics and Business topics into clear, intuitive explanations
- Applying theory to real-world examples and current events
- Practicing past papers and concept application
- Reviewing class material and preparing for upcoming topics
- Because I completed the IB curriculum myself, I understand what teachers expect and how the material is tested.
- Important: My tutoring focuses on helping students master the concepts and content of IB Economics and Business HL, rather than teaching the technical structure of IB exam papers or essay formatting.
- This approach ensures students develop genuine understanding and confidence, which ultimately leads to better exam performance.
