Dr. Erhan Delen is an experienced Computer Science educator and Educational Technology specialist with over 10 years of teaching, research, and academic leadership experience. He currently serves as an IB Diploma Programme Computer Science Teacher at The European Azerbaijan School and as an Adjunct Faculty member at ADA University in Baku, Azerbaijan. Dr. Delen holds a PhD in Educational Technology from Texas A&M University and has published extensively in the fields of educational technology, online learning, self-regulated learning, and technology integration. His expertise includes programming, data science, artificial intelligence in education, robotics, and curriculum development.

I have over 15 years of teaching experience across middle school, high school, and university levels, with recent focus on the IB Diploma Programme. I provide classroom instruction and one-to-one support, helping DP students successfully complete the programme and progress to university. I have guided students through IB exams, Internal Assessments, and Extended Essays, teaching both the previous and updated IB Computer Science syllabus. I hold IB Computer Science Category 2 and Extended Essay Category 2 certifications.

In my lessons, I start by understanding exactly what the student needs, taking time to empathize and identify his/her challenges. I then check the students' prior knowledge and readiness for the topic he/she wants to learn. From there, I explain the content step by step, making sure the student can follow each stage clearly. I use visual and interactive tools, such as a tablet, to make learning more engaging and easier to understand. By the end of the lesson, I always ensure the student’s needs have been met and that they feel confident moving forward.
