About
Bonjour et bienvenue!
I’m Elise, a passionate French tutor based in Dubai, offering personalized lessons online or at students’ homes.
I support students of different ages and levels, whether they want to improve their French, receive regular homework help, or follow their school program with structured guidance. My goal is to help each student build confidence, make steady progress, and discover the richness of the French language in a way that feels both effective and enjoyable.
In addition to French, I also provide academic support in a range of school subjects, including mathematics, science, history, geography, and technology, as well as help with music revision or art projects when needed. I enjoy helping students strengthen their understanding across subjects and develop greater confidence in their overall learning.
Every student has different needs. Some benefit from help with organization and homework management, while others need structured revision, exam preparation, or personalized study materials. I adapt my approach to each learner and provide clear, supportive methods to help them progress effectively and become more independent.
I also support students preparing for exams such as the Brevet, helping them structure oral presentations, strengthen written and spoken expression, and approach assessments with greater confidence. My teaching style is gentle, attentive, and encouraging, with a strong focus on making students feel supported while helping them achieve real progress.

Teaching experience
I have had the pleasure of supporting several families in Dubai, many of whom I continue to work with on a regular basis. I work with students across a wide range of ages and academic levels, from Kindergarten (Grande Section) through primary school (CP to CM2) and middle school (6ème to 3ème), including students preparing for the Brevet.
I provide support in subjects such as French, mathematics, history, sciences, and social studies, while also helping students strengthen their organization, study methods, and confidence. My approach is always tailored to each child’s pace, needs, and personality, with the aim of making learning both effective and reassuring.
I place particular emphasis on methodology: helping students structure their ideas clearly, improve written expression, understand expectations, and approach different types of exercises with confidence. When needed, I also create personalized learning materials such as summaries, mind maps, clear explanations, and memory tools, while encouraging students to gradually become more independent in the way they learn.
Alongside reinforcing existing knowledge, I also help some students catch up after curriculum changes or get ahead by introducing upcoming topics. During school holidays, I sometimes organize more intensive sessions combining revision and preparation for the next term.
I also work with younger learners and beginners in French, focusing on building strong foundations in an engaging, patient, and accessible way.
Before moving to Dubai, I worked closely with two young learners in Lebanon, aged 5 and 7, each with different needs. One, following an English curriculum, needed support with reading, writing, pronunciation, and vocabulary in French; the other, in a French curriculum, needed help with grammar, conjugation, pronunciation, and oral participation. Through personalized lessons and regular follow-up, both made very clear progress and were promoted with excellent teacher feedback.
I also supported a young bilingual student in Spain who needed focused help in French grammar and conjugation, including more advanced topics such as the passé composé, passé simple, subjunctive, and conditional. With structured, tailored lessons, she gained confidence and made strong progress, much to the satisfaction of her parents.
Teaching methods
My teaching approach is structured, supportive, and fully tailored to each student’s level, pace, and learning style. Together, we work on grammar, conjugation, speaking, reading, and writing, with lessons designed to be both effective and enjoyable.
I place strong emphasis on solid foundations, especially in grammar, while keeping lessons interactive, lively, and engaging through real-life conversations, cultural insights, and varied activities. My goal is not only to help students improve their French, but also to build their confidence and make them feel at ease using the language.
I teach students of all levels and backgrounds, including learners discovering French from a completely different alphabet. Whether the focus is school support, general progress, or exam preparation, I always adapt my approach to each learner’s needs.
Beyond French itself, I also support students through clear methodology, revision sheets, practice exercises, and reading comprehension activities. I place particular importance on helping them develop strong study habits, become more organized, and gain independence in their learning.
I remain available and responsive outside lessons whenever students need guidance or clarification, and I am always happy to prepare additional materials such as summaries, exercises, or revision tools when needed. For me, teaching means giving each student the support, clarity, and encouragement they need to make real progress with confidence.
