My name is Charlotte and I am a veterinarian. After obtaining a scientific baccalaureate with honors, English European option, I completed two years of BCPST preparatory classes at Lycée Georges de La Tour in Metz, which allowed me to develop an effective working method, as well as skills and knowledge that I will be delighted to share with you. I am dynamic and passionate about what I teach. Alongside my studies, I travel a lot around the world, which has taught me to open my mind, learn about new cultures, methods, and ways of doing things, and to gain perspective. I am also very involved in associations, whether for animals (Charly LeBlanc, SPA, WWF) as a volunteer and foster family, but also within my school, where I am part of the student union (BDE).

Je m'appelle Charlotte et je suis vétérinaire. Après un bac scientifique obtenu avec mention option européenne anglais, j'ai réalisé deux années de classes préparatoires BCPST au lycée Georges de La Tour à Metz, ce qui m'a permis de développer une méthode de travail efficace, ainsi que des compétences et connaissances dont je me ferai un plaisir de partager avec vous. Je suis dynamique et passionnée par ce que j'enseigne. A côté de mes études, je voyage beaucoup à travers le monde ce qui m'a appris à m'ouvrir l'esprit, apprendre de nouvelles cultures, méthodes, manières de faire et à prendre du recul. Je suis également beaucoup investie dans des associations, que ce soit pour les animaux (Charly LeBlanc, SPA, WWF) en tant que bénévole et famille d'accueil, mais aussi au sein de mon école où je fais partie du BDE.

WHAT I OFFER

I offer to teach scientific subjects (math, physics, chemistry, biology, geology...) but also French and history/geography. I can adapt to the student's needs and provide follow-up in each subject they are taking in high school. Having had various experiences in academic support, I know how to identify students' gaps and I do my best to resolve them through various adapted working methods.

MY EXPERIENCE

I have been giving private lessons for about 8 years to students from elementary school to high school, which represents several hundred hours. I also helped my brother, who was struggling academically, obtain his brevet (junior high school diploma) with high honors.

MY WORKING METHOD

The goal is to best support the student in acquiring new skills and knowledge. This starts with learning together to identify their best way of taking in new information, whether through visual or auditory memory. If it's more visual, an explanatory diagram with colors will be more suitable; if it's auditory, I will rather invite the student to reread their lesson out loud, several times as needed. In my opinion, understanding is more important than "learning by heart" and is much more effective in the long run. Then, teaching them to make the best use of the tools available to them: books, dictionaries, calculator, exercise statements... It also involves helping them work on their motivation, create revision sheets, deepen their knowledge... I believe that good teaching is a mix of several qualities that I believe I possess:

• passion for the subject being taught, because if you are not interested in the subject you are studying, it is much harder to share your knowledge

• patience, because the student does not always understand right away; sometimes other methods are needed to explain a concept

• the ability to clearly explain a subject that one wishes to share with the student

Always attentive to my students, I will be able to ensure the best follow-up throughout the sessions by adapting to each one. I adjust my schedule according to the student, especially in case of an exam the next day.

CE QUE JE PROPOSE

Je propose de donner des cours dans les matières scientifiques (math, physique, chimie, biologie, géologie ...) mais également en français et en histoire/géographie. Je peux m'adapter au besoin de l'élève et faire un suivi dans chacune des matières qu'il suit au lycée. Ayant eu diverses expériences en soutien scolaire, je sais cerner les lacunes des élèves et je fais mon maximum pour les résoudre à travers diverses méthodes de travail adaptées.

MON EXPÉRIENCE

Je donne des cours particuliers depuis environs 8ans à des élèves de la primaire au lycée ce qui représente plusieurs centaines d'heures. J'ai également aidé mon frère en difficulté scolaire à obtenir son brevet avec mention très bien.

MA MÉTHODE DE TRAVAIL

Le but est d'accompagner au mieux l'élève dans l'acquisition de nouvelles compétences et connaisances. Cela commence par apprendre avec lui à identifier sa meilleure façon d'intégrer de nouvelles choses que ce soit par la mémoire visuelle ou auditif. Si c'est plutôt visuel, un schéma explicatif avec des couleurs sera plus adapté, si c'est auditif, j'inviterai plutôt l'élève à relire son cours à voix haute, plusieurs fois selon les besoins. À mon sens, la compréhension est plus importante que le "par coeur" et est bien plus efficace sur la durée. Ensuite lui apprendre à utiliser au mieux les outils mis à sa disposition : livres, dictionnaires, calculatrice, énoncés .. Il s'agit aussi de l'aider à travailler sa motivation, réaliser des fiches de révisions, à approfondir ses connaissances ... Je pense que bien enseigner est un mélange de plusieurs points que je pense posséder :

-la passion pour la matière qu'on enseigne, si on ne s'intéresse pas à la matière qu'on étudie, c'est beaucoup plus difficile de partager son savoir

-la patience car l'élève ne comprendre pas toujours dès le début, il faut parfois passer par d'autres méthodes pour expliquer un concept

-la capacité à expliquer de manière claire un sujet que l'on souhaite partager avec l'élève

Toujours à l'écoute de mes élèves, je saurai leur assurer le meilleur suivi tout au long des séances en m'adaptant à chacun. J'adapte mon emploi du temps en fonction de l'élève, surtout en cas d'examen le lendemain.
